If you collect information from visitors on your website, depending on the information you may want to secure it with an ssl certificate. This adds a layer of protection which ensures your visitors information is secure. If you are planning to process credit cards on your website an ssl certificate is required to protect credit card information.

For a positive ssl certificate you can expect to pay around 20 to 50$ per year, this should be more than adequate for most sites, and perfect for eCommerce sites. We currently do not offer any ssl certificates, until we do feel free to call us and we'll find you the most affordable ssl certificate to meet your requirements. We charge 20$ to install any ssl certificate.

All eCommerce sites which process credit cards directly on their site will require an Authorize.net account which connects to your bank account. All transactions are processed through Authorize.net, an Authorize.net account can cost approximately. 100$ with a 20$ a month gateway fee. If you have a business account with your bank, you may want to ask them if they offer an authorize.net account.

If you are planning to use pay pal, or google checkout as your payment gateway then you will not require an authorize.net account. Processing credit cards on your own site, in a secure environment will instill confidence in your site.
